Cambridge revisited

It’s been a while since I last posted some pictures instead of writing a technical article. Fortunately, here are some pictures I took in Cambridge this weekend while visiting my brother, Edmund. Being a Cambridge undergrad, he’s quite busy and wasn’t able to meet us right away. When we arrived in the town, we satContinue reading “Cambridge revisited”

A foggy day in Bristol town

This week we had a couple of really foggy days in Bristol (and much of the rest of the country too, I gather). I love the fog so I went out shooting. I was also going to shake the snowglobe to set the snow swirling around. I was just testing focus when Mittens cameContinue reading “Mittens waits for Christmas”

Milky Way

While I was mostly working with my telescope and full-spectrum camera doing “proper” astronomy earlier in the week, I also left my other camera on a regular tripod pointing at the sky, trying to photography the Milky Way with a fisheye lens. This picture covers pretty much the whole sky, almost horizon to horizon. The MilkyContinue reading “Milky Way”
