A church in Venice

Sorry, I can’t remember which church this is. I was more taken with the fact that the moon was clearly visible in the sky.

Burano

I love the toy-town coloured houses along the canal, leading to the lagoon of Venice, taken from the island of Burano.

This is a typical view of a Venetian canal.

Split

Walking along Split harbour a little, this is the view. Notably, you can see the bell tower of the cathedral.

Dome

This large room is dome shaped with a circular hole in the roof. The acoustics are perfect – we heard a traditional Croatian men’s choir sing here.

Mount Etna

This view of Mount Etna was taken from Taormina.

This steep road leads from the port of Messina to the town of Taormina, through the foothills of Mount Etna. The coach I travelled on passed along the roads you see here minutes before I took the photo.
