Of course, no holiday in Italy would be complete without a photo of the Leaning Tower of Pisa – called the Banana Tower by the locals, as not only is it leaning, it is curved thanks to efforts by builders in centuries gone by who added more levels to the already leaning tower (which used to be shorter) and built them in a more skyward direction. I deliberately chose a picture here which didn’t depict me holding the tower up and looking like an idiot.
