The Sea Cloud is a sailing cruise ship – most unusual. Pictured here docked in Venice, the passengers we spoke to from this ship told us their next port of call was in Croatia.
This is the “car park” for the Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore, which sits proudly in the harbour of Venice. There doesn’t appear to be much on the islet except for a church.
As we sailed out of Venice, these small boats didn’t seem to care that a 70,000 ton ship was heading straight for them!
Sorry, I can’t remember which church this is. I was more taken with the fact that the moon was clearly visible in the sky.
I love the toy-town coloured houses along the canal, leading to the lagoon of Venice, taken from the island of Burano.
This is a typical view of a Venetian canal.
