I recently wrote about my new camera, an Ensign Cameo, and the fact I was going to have to cut down roll film for it. Last weekend I exposed four sheets of this film, including this one. It’s the apple tree in my parents-in-law’s garden

The picture is a bit wonky because I was using a flimsy travel tripod. The screw thread is a bit knackered and doesn’t fit tightly. At the bottom you can also see the shadows cast by the metal tabs that hold the film in place. I decided not to crop them out because I like the texture of the grass, and I didn’t want to lose it.
All the same, I love the tree and I love the location. The shed and fence give it a nostalgic feel. I think I’ll photograph this tree again in future.
